Show and Tell: Beach House at Mercury Lounge, 8/25/07

We did end up finally catching Beach House at Mercury Lounge last Saturday! The show was hot, crowded, and oversold, but that surely did not detract from the aural beauty of the evening. They played a good amount of new material, as well as favorites like "Tokyo Witch" and "Master of None." I was lucky enough to bring along photographer Martha Burzynski to take some striking photographs for nogoodforme.com. (Guitarist Alex Scally is lovely as well, but he played pretty much in the dark, head looking down at his guitar most of the time.)
