Bits and Pieces: Style Network needs you, Fourth of July fun, contests galore, punk gastronomy + First off, you reeeeeally want to watch Bunnyshop's Amazing Race audition tape! Especially if you like giggling (both in terms of hearing it, and actually doing it yourself). (Liz) + Wasn't there a reality tv show about interns at a fashion magazine? Oh, yeah, I think they did that with JANE before JANE bit the big one. Anyway, if any of you out there felt like that grand opportunity just passed you by, here's your chance again: the Style Network is looking for three peeps to take on internships at a "top New York fashion magazine" this fall. My guess is that they want to follow you around with cameras, but I have no idea how they may or may not want to humiliate or manipulate you. If you're game, check out the notice and maybe we'll tune in if you let us know about it. Otherwise I'm shielding my eyes from anything that isn't news about the upcoming Guillermo del Toro-helmed production of The Hobbit. (Joke, kind of.) (Kat) + If you're celeb fashion fix is WhoWhatWearDaily, then you're in luck: they're having a particularly cool contest, giving away a whole entire Elizabeth & James wardrobe to one lucky subscriber. (Kat) + Max and Chloe are having a Fourth of July sale right now; you can scoop up one of those clever Jessica Kagan Kushman bracelets now. My favorite is the one with the "Doll Parts" lyric, because who doesn't want to the be the girl with the most cake? (Kat) + And, um, yes, remember our giveaway for the turquoise Bryna Nicole clutch? You still have time. I blanked and forgot this Friday was a holiday, so the contest will go till next Tuesday. Leave a comment in the aforementioned entry, or, if you're shy, you can email us. (Kat) + L.A. den of radness Ooga Booga is having a Fourth of July party tomorrow afternoon. Come get your vegan hot dogs, buy some zines and marked-down clothes (up to 60 percent off), check out the new window installation, and hear bands like Tony and All Neon Like. Starts at 3 p.m.; 943 N. Broadway #203. (Liz) + The Gits Movie, a documentary on the Seattle band whose singer Mia Zapata was murdered 15 years ago, premieres Sunday night at The Echo in L.A. (New Yorkers, the film opens tomorrow at Pioneer Theater and runs through July 10.) Here's more info about the Echo screening. (Liz) + Have you ever wondered what Mike Watt eats for breakfast, and then wished you could watch him cook said breakfast without his shirt on? Boy, is today your lucky day! One of the first episodes of our favorite new online cooking show, which I guess we'll call [cooking with], stars Mr. Watt and his beautiful Breakfast Halibut with Habanero Peppers. There's also one with Corndawg, one with Henry Hill (the ex-mobster on whom Good Fellas was based), and one with the show's creator Ben Wolfinsohn. Oh, and one with some band whose name I'm not going to type 'cause I'm sick of typing it and I'm gonna have to type it again in five seconds anyway. in Bits and Pieces COMMENTS!! Say something so insightful and witty, it will blow us away. (No pressure.) Got something to say? We'd love to hear it! Name, email and "type in the weirdo drunken text" thingie are all required to comment; don't worry, we won't email you or anything, we just want to make sure you're not an evil spambot. Keeping in mind the good-times mentality we like to keep going here, we've worked hard to keep NOGOODFORME.COM as fun as possible. We welcome all kinds of comments, but insults/abuse/general bitchery are not tolerated. In other words, we put the smackdown on evil troll posts. If you want to be a hater, please go elsewhere. Now, as Salt 'N Pepa say, "Only the sexy people..."
