Snapshot: Listening, Watching, Reading, Wearing, Wanting
+ Liz
Listening: I bought A Woman a Man Walked By but I haven't really listened yet, except for the first four or so songs on the ride home from Newbury Comics. And: The Fly Girlz! And I'm kinda going through an Imperial Teen thing right now, especially Seasick.
Watching: LJ's mention of Oliver & Company reminded me that my 6th grade dance recital was set to a song from the O & Co. soundtrack - which, in turn, reminded me that that was the year I had the same dance costume as Jessie Spano's in the "Caffeine Pill Freakout!" episode of Saved by the Bell. I also saw I Love You, Man again, and have watched the season premiere of The Hills about 8 times.
Reading: The Condition by Jennifer Haigh, which is a damned good read.
Wearing: I left my Amsterdam t-shirt that I love so much in Massachusetts! I want to cry!!!
Wanting: Give me my Amsterdam shirt back!
CAFFEINE PILL FREAKOUT!
+ Laura Jane
Listening: The Kinks; Acid Mother's Temple live
Watching: Twilight (campy, entertaining, Robert Pattinson is hot as Edward the Zombie, but in real life is lame, stinky, and unhot); "Iron Chef America: Battle Freaking CHOCOLATE (!!!!!)" starring Iron Chef Bobby Flay on the drums; Old Yeller, since our Beloved Cinemanimals post called attention to how I'd never seen it before. The ending was really sad.
Reading: I finished Rabbit Remembered by dead John Updike, which means that I will never again read another all-new sentence about Harry "Rabbit Angstrom; I am now reading Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier; the Zac Efron issue o GQ
Wearing: Chloe perfume; a striped Oxford untucked over high-waisted Cheap Mondays, and unbuttoned from after where the waistline of my jeans hits, if that makes any sense; the blue and black calf-length leggings I wore on the morning of Spirit Animal House when it was raining
Wanting: I wish I would stop stressing out about commas, and fall in love, and that the dude I was in love with would be so in love with me that he'd take me to go see 17 Again, and then we'd get drunk and make out. To recap: less comma stress, love, alcohol, more love, 17 Again, making out.
"OH, NO... NO TRAVIS- PUT DOWN THE GUN! HE'S YOUR FRIEND! HE'S YOUR YELLER!"
PS: I wish Arliss from Old Yeller was my son:

PPS: God, Zac Efron, how you are so hot?

Tags: Acid Mother's Temple, am I perverted for thinking Zac Efron is hot, Bobby Flay; The Kinks, Caffeine Pill Freakouts!, Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom, I Love You Man, Imperial Teen, Newbury Comics, Old Yeller, Phoebe Buffay, Robert Pattinson ambivalence, Spirit Animal House nostalgia, The Fly Girlz

Say something so insightful and witty, it will blow us away. (No pressure.)
Got something to say? We'd love to hear it! Name, email and "type in the weirdo drunken text" thingie are all required to comment; don't worry, we won't email you or anything, we just want to make sure you're not an evil spambot. Keeping in mind the good-times mentality we like to keep going here, we've worked hard to keep NOGOODFORME.COM as fun as possible. We welcome all kinds of comments, but insults/abuse/general bitchery are not tolerated. In other words, we put the smackdown on evil troll posts. If you want to be a hater, please go elsewhere. Now, as Salt 'N Pepa say, "Only the sexy people..."

Now, i am not a fan of HighSchoolMusic and am completely heterosexual, but Zac Efron is quite dreamy. This i realized only after seeing him on Letterman this past week. Damn!
I'd go see 17 Again. It has Matthew Perry How bad could it be.

"17 Again" in theaters + tomorrow being 4/20= there is a sense of order to the Universe.
Matthew Perry is a comic genius. The cruddiness of his post-Friends career is a complete tragedy. Apparently he's in "17 Again" for all of like fifteen minutes. Maybe seventeen minutes.

He makes Cary Grant look fucking slovenly.

He sure is workin' that simple black suit&tie well.
i think it is time for me to get a tailored suit.
these types of movies have to be experienced with a wall to wall screen, which only a theatre can provide.
