Imaginary Shopping Spree: Closer by Elinor Carrucci, APC Winter Dresses
Closer by Elinor Carucci, amazon.com

Call me a nut, but I have to move at the end of May and already I'm dreading it, especially the idea of packing and dealing with books. I love books like crazy and measure my wealth in books, but knowing I have to move fairly soon has made me sell off, get rid of and basically call a moratorium on getting new ones. Which is hard, because I love collecting and having art monographs, and those are the most expensive, biggest ones and the most difficult and annoying to pack. The one I really, really want lately is Elinor Carucci's Closer, which is a beautiful, intimate collection of family photographs done by a gorgeously sensitive, brilliant photographer. I've followed Carucci's work for years now (and even wrote about her back in 2007) and she's been growing and growing in reputation since. Closer remains the only major monograph of her work, and it's been recently revised in a new edition. I love love love it, and it bums me out what I have to wait till I have a new home till I can get it. Man, I really need to buy an apartment, if only to settle my books down in one place. (Kat)
ANY OR ALL OF THESE APC WINTER DRESSES

This winter, I am making a conscious effort to complain about the winter less, both on and off nogoodforme.com. To quote Thumper from Bambi, who is my fucking HERO, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." So this is the part of my life where I try to man up and say a few nice things about the winter, like: 1) In the winter, I like soup more than I normally like soup. "Soup-eating" has become a highly-valued component of my life; 2) I can hypothetically see how if I lived in whatever town in the world most resembles the picture of Santa's North Pole that exists in my head*, that might be sort of idyllic; 3) It's cute when people get snowflakes caught in their eyelashes; 4) Ummmmmm; 5) I got nothin'; 6) If I had any or all of these APC winter dresses, I would look really "cute for winter", and might want to kill myself marginally less than I do without them. The wool button-down on the left would be really ideal for smoking pot in my bedroom, the Nordicky sweaterdress at center would be really ideal for walking briskly to the store, and the burgundy military-y one would be really ideal to wear while complaining about the winter. Kill yr idols, you know? (Laura Jane)
*Leipzig, perhaps?
PS: I ALSO KIND OF WANT THIS "BABY IN A THUMPER COSTUME":

Say something so insightful and witty, it will blow us away. (No pressure.)
Got something to say? We'd love to hear it! Name, email and "type in the weirdo drunken text" thingie are all required to comment; don't worry, we won't email you or anything, we just want to make sure you're not an evil spambot. Keeping in mind the good-times mentality we like to keep going here, we've worked hard to keep NOGOODFORME.COM as fun as possible. We welcome all kinds of comments, but insults/abuse/general bitchery are not tolerated. In other words, we put the smackdown on evil troll posts. If you want to be a hater, please go elsewhere. Now, as Salt 'N Pepa say, "Only the sexy people..."

my favorite joey moment on 'friends' is the 'mmmmm...soup'/'mmmmm...noodle soup' bit.

My favorite joey moment on friends is when he calls a moot point a "moo point", because it doesn't matter, like a cow's opinion
