Imaginary Shopping Spree: Yellow Jackets (Coats, Not The Insects)
It's high winter, and apparently there's a mass of high pressure hanging out over the Arctic that is diverting the jetstream and bring cold Arctic air to places like Florida. That's what I heard, but I don't know what the hell is going on with the world, really. All I know is, this is the time of the year where things get dark and dreary for peeps in the Northern Hemisphere. I'm taking a page out of my Spiritual Scandinavian handbook and wearing brighter colors to combat this. My problem: I don't really have any, having Bringer of Darkness inclinations in terms of fashion. I have a red sweater from Uniqlo, and a hot pink Marc Jacobs silk dress, but that's really it in terms of eye-popping, happy-making bright colors. The thing I really want are yellow coats. Yellow is one of those torturous things to Asians like myself, but part of me doesn't care, because it's such a wonderful, cheery color to look at. The fact that it's in the form of the coat is practically public service, because others on the street will eyeball you and get a jolt of yayness when they see you. Isn't that nice? You help people be happy and look awesome in the process. Total win at life! (Kat)
(left) Oooh, Linda Loudermilk! This jaunty, kind of New Romantic jacket is both eco-friendly and Rick Owens-ish at once. Unfortunately, even at sale price, it is still too pricey for me, but this is why it's IMAGINARY shopping spree; (middle) I love the vintage-ness of this jacket from Modcloth; (right) I am very into the whole gamine thing, and this cropped trench jacket from the Vera Wang line for Kohls fits right in. This is a good springtime option, with skinny jeans and ballet flats. Classic.

Say something so insightful and witty, it will blow us away. (No pressure.)
Got something to say? We'd love to hear it! Name, email and "type in the weirdo drunken text" thingie are all required to comment; don't worry, we won't email you or anything, we just want to make sure you're not an evil spambot. Keeping in mind the good-times mentality we like to keep going here, we've worked hard to keep NOGOODFORME.COM as fun as possible. We welcome all kinds of comments, but insults/abuse/general bitchery are not tolerated. In other words, we put the smackdown on evil troll posts. If you want to be a hater, please go elsewhere. Now, as Salt 'N Pepa say, "Only the sexy people..."

I saw a lady in a bright red/orange coat today at my bus stop and I was thinking how much love I have for people who wear bright colors in gloomy weather (my city is like a grey snowcone right now). It's sort of like letting parrots loose in a gray room!
