First Look: Alexa Chung for Madewell
I don't really know who Alexa Chung is. Which is ironic, cuz just the other day LJ and I were telecon-ing about how it really gets our respective goats when people are totally unaware of bonkers-ubiquitous celebs. "HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHO SPENCER PRATT IS???" we roared through gnashed teeth, crushing beer cans with our bare right hands. But, Alexa Chung - she's on MTV? She's British? She's annoying? I'm 87 percent sure all these things are true. But I'm 187 percent sure she's collabo-ing with Madewell, as my new Twitter buddy/fave new blog Mama's A Rolling Stone just posted a post about the upcoming collection. A lil looksie:
I'm really into lots of it! Especially that white dress just above the words I'm typing right now. Mama's A Rolling Stone's got more pics here. Due in stores this fall. Btw, who is Alexa Chung?

She's the "voice" of the "indie kids"
She used to do a lot of presenting on tv and I think she might have been a model at some point.
She's just really boring and "like, so indie".

Rebecca pretty much summed it up. And yeah, I think she IS pretty annoying. I don't know much about fashion, but I do like how basic this line is. Like, I feel like I already kinda dress like this in a more busted kind of way...

alexa chung is a mystery that i haven't felt like looking into yet (mtv? british? dates that guy from the arctic monkeys? this is all i know for sure), but these are pretty cute & that "hello bat" makes me smile!
p.s. 100% agreed on the cute white dress.

I do believe she dated albert hammond jr. of the strokes. basically she's the 'cool kids' rep. for the tabloids- defines hipster fer the mainstream. a less cool kate moss.
(i'm really digging this collection though, esp. the long khaki skirt with denim button up- conservative 70's vibe. loveit.)
