Watching: I saw Scott Pilgrim recently. 'Twas alright.
Reading: still working on Leaves of Grass.
Wearing: my mother's stripey St. James shirt which is a few years older than I am, a black high-waisted skirt, Keds, and a bow in my hair.
Wanting: a peter pan-collared blouse (or anything peter-pan collared, really) like so so badly

Listening: NEW BANDS on amazon.com (Best Coast, Dum Dum Girls, Harlem, Wavves); and also Big Star; Quix*o*tic (please note I did not listen to any of these extensively). And Old Time Relijun, which I have listened to before, but for some reason, this time it BLEW MY MIND.
Watching: I watched a documentary called “Obscene” about this guy who ran Grove Press & The Evergreen Review. NICE!
Reading: Dumb ass corny books of Wedding Vows!! I think we decided on a Quaker vow...it was the simplest.
Wearing: jeans, shirts of varying lengths, 3/4 sleeve cardigans, sensible shoes
Wanting: To figure out what my dream is so that I can physically work towards manifesting it.

Listening: xx (is it "The xx" or just "xx"?); Patti Smith; They Might Be Giants kids' songs; the president telling some morning news show host yesterday, "I can't go around with my birth certificate on my forehead"
Watching: Season 2 of Mad Men, the one where Roger shakes his head and says, "I miss the fifties."
Reading: I just finished Hunger Games, and I'm hooked! Also New York Magazine, which makes me want to go to NYC every weekend in the fall, also essays by Wendall Berry, also teaching-related stuff
Wearing: as little as I can get away with outside, and then layers of shirts and sweaters in the freezing air conditioning
Wanting: a big fat gift card to Sephora, free air travel for life, flattering skirts

OH MY GOD I AM SO EXCITED SOMEONE HAS READ HUNGER GAMES AND CAN TALK WITH ME ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just finished Mockingjay and i'm dying to talk about it to someone!!
