We have our winners, dudes! Thank you for playing. And feel free to still drop me a line and tell me about vegan food and coffee.

Do you like No Age? Do you like Yeasayer? Do you like No Age and Yeasayer? Do you like No Age and Yeasayer and The Death Set and Free Blood? Well, hooray for you, 'cause we're giving away two pairs of tickets to see all four bands at the Los Angeles Ukrainian Center (near Melrose and Heliotrope) on Friday, April 25. All you have to do is send me an email and tell me your favorite place to get vegan food in L.A. Or your favorite place to shop for vintage clothes. Or your favorite place to drink coffee. Free earrings for nogoodforme.com readers at Dasha Boutique

We've just added Dasha Boutique (a San Francisco-based artisan jewelry studio) to the list of sites we'll be sure to hit up whilst gift-shopping this holiday season. Handcrafted from semi-precious gemstones, gold, sterling silver, pearls and raw diamonds, each of Dasha's classic and lovely creations is completely customizable - so no worries if the design you love most doesn't feature your favorite stone, metal, etc. And here's the funnest part: For every order over $50, Dasha will give nogoodforme.com readers a free pair of aquamarine mini hoop earrings, valued at $35. (Just type in "NOGOODFORME07" at checkout, and see below for the fine print.) Dasha offers handmade earrings, bracelets, and rings, but because I'm necklace obsessed I'm going to show off my most coveted among their neck adornments here:

Contest: Midnight Movies / Ragged Magazine

Maybe you're into L.A.'s Midnight Movies because of their spooky-shoegazery sound, or maybe you simply adore that lead singer Gena Olivier is a smoky-eyed fox straight outta some gorgeous Godard film. Either way, you'd be so wise to enter our hot new Midnight Movies contest. Brought to us by our sexy friends at Filter, the giveaway will lavish one lucky girl or guy with a signed copy of Midnight Movies' Lion the Girl (for which we've already shown big love), a Midnight Movies t-shirt, and the cute little hoodie shown below. The winner will also get the second issue of Ragged, a joint venture between Filter and American Rag Cie. Along with a feature on Midnight Movies, Ragged #2 has got stories on Aqualung, Robbers On High Street, The Colour, Miho Hatori, Carina Round, and The Cinematics. You can download a free PDF of the entire mag here.

To enter the contest, email us and tell us what movies you like to curl up with in the wee hours of the night. (FYI, Kat's picks are Mulholland Drive and Desperately Seeking Susan, and for me it's Laurel Canyon and Marie Antoinette.) We'll take your responses till Thursday, June 7, at midnight (sunny-California time), then announce the winner shortly thereafter.

Lovely, Lovely Pearls: Get 20% Off At Funky Oysters

funkyoyster_lizzie.jpgPearls get a bad rap in the world of jewelry. Okay, not a bad rap, because that would give pearls an edge of sex and danger that the supposedly staid, tame jewel lacks, being favored by old ladies who like how pearls enhance their complexions. But let's get real: pearls are gorgeous and luminous, they feel great against the skin, and there's more to wearing them than just the debutante-friendly single strand of white. Lately I'm fond of pearls in bracelets: they mix well with metals like bronze, copper and gold as well as wood, leather and other earthier, almost homespun materials. And they're both subtly pretty for day and slightly off-center for night. So if you're into piling on the bangles for the summer, pick up some super-foxy freshwater pearl bracelets to add some luxe to that nonchalant, eclectic-hippie vibe that works so well at summer music festivals and nights in the park. The good people at Funky Oysters are offering nogoodforme readers a 20% discount through 6/15/07, because you're so incredibly awesome. I kind of am going nuts trying to decide between the Lisette in bronze or the Lizzie in gray, because both are just so gorgeous, but still dark and even kind of goth-y, which is always the way into my accessorized heart. So treat yourself, treat your mother (because it is Mother's Day soon, and the site has plenty of classic, pretty necklaces that will make her happy) and go forth in your mission to make pearls super-hot and sexy.

In the Meanwhile, Free Stuff: PJ Harvey Giveaway

Well, where does the time go? I can't vouch for Liz, but unfortunately fashion gets to be on my mind, oh, about one minute a day for me nowadays -- when I'm getting ready in the morning for my crazy jam-packed days. While we get our bearings back slowly, however, we've got a CD copy of PJ Harvey's Peel Sessions: 1991-2004 to give away, thanks to the good people at Filter. Do we really need to introduce PJ Harvey to you? I hope not. But if we do, Peel Sessions nicely charts the musician's evolution, from her minimalist, primal grunge beginnings to a more recent lush, more poetic sound. To win a copy, send an email and tell us whose style you've been sweating lately. ETA: You've got till Monday to rock this.

Come On, Come On: Giveaways!

Things might a little sporadic for the next week or so, what with Liz off being glamorous somewhere in the mountains and me descending into the madness of the new semester at school here in New York. But keep us on your radar anyway, since the month of September will promise more music giveaways and a fun fashion one. In the meanwhile, check out the new Coutorture contests over there on our sidebar, which are especially awesome. Who doesn't want a chance to win free shoes and free clothes? And don't forget to enter in our Silversun Pickups music giveaway here, because everyone needs music in their lives. We've been getting a nice stream of entries through it and I personally am thoroughly impressed with how stylish and music-knowledgeable our readers are.
