Dance Party Friday: Ringo & The Smothers Brothers Singing "No No Song"
This is some waaaaaay lazy dancing - but I'm really into Ringo's sexy snapping midsong, plus his scary "Cocaine Face" during the cocaine verse. In general it's always really aces whenever anyone acts out what's going on in the song, and the Smothers Brothers take care of that quite nicely, with all their lame weed-miming. Also if I ever get arrested for "singing the dope song," I'm totally going to use "I'm a famous pop star from the '60s" as my defense. Well-played, Rich!

Dance Party Saturday: "I Wanna Get Me A Gun" by Bill Wyman Three Interesting Facts About Bill Wyman* I Have Learned Today: 1) He is an amateur archaeologist and markets a (patented!) Bill Wyman metal detector. Instructs the Bill Wyman metal detector website: "Come join Bill Wyman in the greatest hobby on Planet Earth." SHOULD I???? 2) Unless he was born on February 24th, which he wasn't, celebrity Scorpio Bill Wyman (October 24th, 1936) and I could not be more astrologically compatible if we tried. 3) At first I started watching this video and was all "Ugh! Bill Wyman is terrifying! Why is he just sitting there? Why is his face so oddly expressionless? Why? Why everything, Bill Wyman?" Then, about twenty seconds passed, and I realized I thought it was hot. * Bill Wyman is the bass guitar player of that band I barely/rarely care about called "the Rolling Stones", or whatever. In 1974, he released a solo album named Monkey Grip which is cool to like but, in my opinion, bad, not counting "I Wanna Get Me A Gun," which is fucking AWESOME.
